In many cases, a student’s Ontario Student Record (“OSR”) is maintained by the student’s homeschool, public school, private school, school board, or another educational institution responsible for granting official secondary school credits and maintaining the student’s permanent academic record.
Where another institution maintains the OSR:
Sanrise may provide attendance information, grades, assessments, progress reports, final report cards, or course completion information to the responsible school, parent/guardian, or authorized educational representative;
Sanrise does not maintain or manage the official OSR unless otherwise required by law or separate written agreement; and
Educational information is shared only where reasonably necessary for academic administration, student support, or credit recognition purposes.
Copies of report cards and related course records may be retained by Sanrise for up to five (5) years after a student leaves the program or completes a course, unless a longer retention period is required by law or educational obligations.
Students or parents/guardians may voluntarily provide accommodation or accessibility-related information to help support a student’s learning experience.
