SUMMER COURSE
At Sanrise, Grade 8 students get a head start on high school.Â
Over the summer, students experience a Grade 9 mathematics course where students learn about high school expectations in a supportive, low-pressure environment before officially beginning secondary school.
Students strengthen their understanding of Grade 9 mathematics in a supportive environment, helping to boost their confidence by starting ahead of their peers.
Earning a high school credit early opens space in future timetables for electives, specialized programs, and additional learning opportunities.
Whether students complete the course successfully or not, they leave with a greater familiarity with high school expectations and increased preparedness for Grade 9.
