Our Story
In 2021, I had a vision.
As a high school teacher, I saw firsthand how students accessed additional academic support through private education, while others struggled to find the help they needed.
At the same time, I was spending mornings, lunch hours, and afternoons supporting students at risk of failing.
It made me ask a simple but important question:
When students are being underserved, where can they go?
Today, that vision has grown into Sanrise—an online independent school designed to help African and Caribbean students access a rigorous, culturally responsive education in a space where they feel seen, supported, and empowered to rise.
