Sanrise Education Inc. (“Sanrise”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) is committed to providing clear and fair policies regarding course enrollment, withdrawals, cancellations, and refunds.
By registering for a course or service with Sanrise, students and parents/guardians agree to the terms of this Refund Policy.

Refund eligibility depends on:
The date of withdrawal request;
Whether course access has been granted;
The amount of coursework completed;
Administrative or third-party processing costs already incurred; and
Applicable legal requirements.
All refund requests must be submitted in writing to info@sanrise.ca.
Refunds are processed to the original payment method where reasonably possible.
Students who request cancellation before receiving access to course materials or learning platforms may be eligible for a full refund, less any non-refundable payment processing or administrative fees.
Once access to a course, Moodle platform, educational materials, assessments, or instructor support has been provided, refunds may be reduced or denied depending on:
Time elapsed since enrollment;
Course progress or participation;
Access to downloadable materials; and
Administrative costs already incurred.
Refunds are generally not available once a student has:
Completed a substantial portion of the course;
Submitted major assessments;
Received final grades or report cards; or
Completed the course.
Sanrise reserves the right to determine what constitutes substantial course completion based on the circumstances.
Certain fees may be non-refundable, including:
Payment processing fees charged by Stripe or financial institutions;
Administrative setup fees;
Registration fees; or
Fees relating to transferred, customized, or expedited services.
Any applicable deductions will be communicated where appropriate.
Students may withdraw from a course by contacting Sanrise in writing.
Withdrawal from a course does not automatically guarantee eligibility for a refund.
Students and parents/guardians remain responsible for:
Outstanding balances;
Communicating withdrawals to homeschool or educational institutions where applicable; and
Understanding how withdrawal may affect academic timelines or credit recognition.
Refunds will not ordinarily be issued for:
Personal device issues;
Internet connectivity problems;
Failure to maintain compatible technology;
Temporary outages outside Sanrise’s reasonable control; or
Failure to access or complete coursework in a timely manner.
Where significant technical issues arise directly from Sanrise systems, we may, at our discretion, provide:
Extended access;
Technical assistance;
Course transfers; or
Partial refunds where appropriate.
Students removed, suspended, or restricted from courses due to:
Academic misconduct;
Violations of Terms and Conditions;
Abuse of staff or systems; or
Fraudulent activity
may not be eligible for refunds.
Students and parents/guardians agree to contact Sanrise first to attempt resolution of billing concerns before initiating chargebacks or payment disputes.
Sanrise reserves the right to suspend course access or enrollment privileges where fraudulent or improper chargebacks occur.
Sanrise understands that exceptional situations may arise.
Refund requests relating to medical, compassionate, or extraordinary circumstances may be reviewed on a case-by-case basis at our discretion.
Supporting documentation may be requested where appropriate.
Approved refunds are generally processed within a reasonable timeframe. Processing times may vary depending on:
Payment providers;
Financial institutions; and
Original payment methods.
Sanrise may update or modify this Refund Policy from time to time.
Updated versions will be posted with a revised effective date.
Continued use of our services after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
